1. STYLING:

This braided headband style that I did a tutorial on in my last post. To watch the video scroll to the post below or click here. Try it out and let me know what you think!

2. WEARING:

PJ's and workout clothes until 2 p.m. over here. Haha! I've been trying to workout during nap time so I can avoid interruptions and increase my personal zen. You mama's know what I mean.  Unfortunately that means putting off showering until that time as well. I'm probably being judged, but I couldn't care less because I'm so proud of myself for sticking with my new routine!

3. EATING:

Tacos, enchiladas, ya know. All the Mexican food. Because it's the way to Matthew's heart. Now if only I could get Turner to eat it, life would be perfect.

4. WATCHING:

Pysch. It's become my go to relax-and-laugh-while-the-kids-are-napping show. It's cheesy, goofy and quirky which has me laughing out loud more than I'd probably like to admit.

5. LOVING:

Our new king size bed. Seriously, I've never slept this good in my life. A review of our amazing mattress coming to the blog in the future!

6. WANTING:

All of the fall fashion and things. Like this amazing dress from Roolee Boutique! Sweaters, boots, pumpkin flavored everything and that crisp fall weather. It's my JAM.

And just like that, the summer comes to an end. It's been one to remember! Before I sign off, I wanted to let you guys know that Roolee extended their end of summer clearance sale and it's all going like hot cakes! Go snag yourself some discounted goodies by clicking here and you can thank me later.

1. STYLING:

Twisty updos to get my hair off of my neck and out of my face. Herriman is a pretty windy place, so I find myself pulling these long locks of mine up and out of the way 90% of the time. It's fun to finally be able to play around with styles like this on my own head of hair.

2. WEARING:

Smiles and sunscreen! I've been making an effort to get outside more and it's doing Turner and I a lot of good. Also, loose shirts and skirts to keep cool in the summer heat.

3. EATING:

Teriyaki Turkey Lettuce Wraps. YUM! If you're like me and can't live without those carbs, try it over steamed rice. Equally delicious.

4. WATCHING:

Lark Rise to Candleford is a BBC series on Hulu. Matthew and I are OBSESSED with BBC's. We just finished the first season. It's clean and we love it so far!

5. LOVING:

Making our house a home. I'm trying to be very conscious of what brings me joy and simplifying the clutter. Less is definitely more in the decor department for me these days.

6. WANTING:

To stop time with this sweet baby boy! He is growing so fast, I can't believe it! He's 3 months old now, and 16 lbs. He's super chunky and that's just how we like 'em around here! I don't want to miss a thing, so I am taking our days one at a time and trying to cherish each snuggly baby moment.

I know I've been MIA on the blog lately because of all of the things that come with a move, but I hope you all have had as lovely of a July as I have! It's been bittersweet and I'm learning a lot about myself through all of the change.

1. STYLING:

This twisted updo paired with this gorgeous hairpiece my sister in law, Emily, gave me as a push present. Isn't it fabulous? It's really making me want more hair accessories...like this one, and this one

2. WEARING:

My Gilligan O'Malley knit robe and fuzzy socks, all day, every day. Because changing your clothes 10 times a day isn't fun. The amount of bodily fluids that get all over you from nursing a newborn is unreal. Plus, postpartum recovery in no joke, people. Comfort and ease are all the rage around here right now.

3. EATING:

I've been craving apples with peanut butter on the daily. I thought my pregnancy appetite was bad, but I forgot how nursing gives me the munchies 24/7. At least my craving is healthy and packed with protein, right?

4. WATCHING:

We've been watching Wreck It Ralph at least 3 times a week. It's Turner's new favorite, and the video game nerd in me can't complain. I love it!

5. ADJUSTING:

It's been quite the adjustment to manage two kiddos at home on my own. At least 3 times a day both of my boys are crying because I can't give them what they want/need. Luckily it doesn't last very long, but it's still taken quite a toll on my stress and anxiety levels. The lack of consistent sleep doesn't help either. Still, I think we're getting the hang of it. I just have to reassure myself that I'm doing the very best that I can.

6. LOVING:

I am loving this new precious little boy. So so much. I snapped some newborn shots of him and I'm obsessed. Stay tuned for those photos next month. I can't believe he is almost 3 weeks old already! It's such a blessing to have him home and healthy. He's already gained a pound and a half! We all can't seem to get enough of him around here.

I hope you all had a lovely April! Just so you know, I've got my birth story, Grey's newborns and some other fun posts in the works! Subscribe to my email list, in the sidebar or below, so you don't miss them!

1. STYLING:

No heat curls using my new Savvy Curls wrap! I still have a promo code available in my last post for $2 off a wrap of your very own! It's such an amazing product. I can't say enough good things about it. If you're trying to grow your hair out like I am, it's a perfect way to keep your hair healthy and looking fabulous at the same time!

2. WEARING:

My new Warby Parker glasses in the Watts style. I love them so much! They're perfectly proportioned to my face and they're as light as a feather. Nothing like a fresh set of specs to make you feel good.

3. EATING:

All of the treats. It's always at this point of my pregnancy that I have NO self control. I'm so hungry all the time. The Easter candy is taunting me from the pantry and I will give in several times throughout the day. Guaranteed. My feet started swelling this week and I hate it so much. I'm sure it's because of my terrible diet, too. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

4. WATCHING:

Grimm. It's Matthew's favorite. I was so skeptical when we first started the series, but I've come to really enjoy the fairytale of it all. The fourth season is SO intense. Things are finally being resolved that started in the first season!

5. MAKING:

Sweet knick knacks for Grey's nursery. I love how this planet pom pom mobile turned out. I found this tutorial on Pinterest, and had to make it! Mine is not an accurate representation of the solar system, but it turned out beyond adorable!! I couldn't be more pleased with it.

6. WAITING:

For our baby boy to fill this precious nursery. I can't believe how fast it has come. We're only two weeks away from 40 weeks and I'm being induced on the 11th if he doesn't decide to come before then. I really want him to be the first April baby on my side of the family. (There may or may not have been a cash prize offered to the first person to have an April grand baby and it may or may not have been the deciding factor on when to conceive our second child.) So...I'm holding out until April 1st, then I'm ready for him to come at any time! I'm so excited to meet our little guy I can barely stand it!!

I hope you all had a wonderful March!

1. STYLING:

My best friend Olivia just started a YouTube channel for her beauty, fashion, and lifestyle videos and so we decided to collaborate! We did a No Mirror Makeup Challenge video for her channel and a Twisted Mermaid Hair Tutorial for mine! Olivia has the most beautiful, long and thick hair and I'm obsessed with how this style turned out. We're both posting the videos on Friday, so get excited!

2. WEARING:

My new Green Good Samaritime Watch from Arvo! It's everything thing I've dreamed of in a watch and more. I wear it almost ever single day. Did you know that when you buy a Good Samaritime watch 10% will be contributed towards a social cause? Cool huh?!  By choosing the color of your Good Samaritime second hand, you are also choosing a charity that will be benefitted by your purchase!

3. EATING:

We went to Rooster's on 25th street in Ogden for our last fancy night out before this baby is born. We went to Wiseguys on 25th for our first date and lived nearby for the first three years of our marriage. It was nice to reminisce on how much our lives have changed over time and how we are happier than we ever could have imagined. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Matthew got the Sicilian Pizza. Oh! And they have the most amazing hummus appetizer that's not on the menu, but you can still ask for it! The food there is so delicious and the atmosphere is romantic and cozy.

4. WATCHING:

The Grinder is one of our new favorite shows. It's family appropriate and super funny! I can't get enough of Rob Lowe ever since he showed up in Parks and Rec. I was never a Boy Meets World fan, but Fred Savage is awesome. Is that on Netflix?? I'm making a list of shows to save for after the baby is born. That might be on the list.

5. CREATING:

Matthew and I have been brainstorming ways to bring in a little extra income and that's how these wall hanging designs were born! I have really enjoyed creating them and can't wait to start selling them on the shop TOMORROW! The design above is just one of the five I've created. They're handwoven around a 12" brass colored steel ring and decorated with wood accents. I love how modern, minimal, and perfect they are hanging in my home. I'll be sad to see them go!

6. PRACTICING:

I accepted the challenge to Love Myself given by the Small Seed Blog and I have sincerely been practicing that habit. More than just loving my body, but my whole soul. I've been trying to love the things I am capable of. To love what I create and accomplish instead of criticizing myself that I'm not ________ enough. Most of all, to take a risk and not fear failure. To realize that a failed idea doesn't make me a failure. I've been working on praising myself and taking pride in my accomplishments rather than focusing on the things I haven't done. I'm so glad I took this challenge to heart, because it taught me something life changing. It taught me that I have the power to change how I perceive myself, body and soul.

One more thing...

HAPPY LEAP YEAR! Matthew and I started a fun tradition four years ago to write a letter to each other to read the next leap year. I am so excited to read our letters and write ones to read four years from now!
