1. STYLING:

Twisty updos to get my hair off of my neck and out of my face. Herriman is a pretty windy place, so I find myself pulling these long locks of mine up and out of the way 90% of the time. It's fun to finally be able to play around with styles like this on my own head of hair.

2. WEARING:

Smiles and sunscreen! I've been making an effort to get outside more and it's doing Turner and I a lot of good. Also, loose shirts and skirts to keep cool in the summer heat.

3. EATING:

Teriyaki Turkey Lettuce Wraps. YUM! If you're like me and can't live without those carbs, try it over steamed rice. Equally delicious.

4. WATCHING:

Lark Rise to Candleford is a BBC series on Hulu. Matthew and I are OBSESSED with BBC's. We just finished the first season. It's clean and we love it so far!

5. LOVING:

Making our house a home. I'm trying to be very conscious of what brings me joy and simplifying the clutter. Less is definitely more in the decor department for me these days.

6. WANTING:

To stop time with this sweet baby boy! He is growing so fast, I can't believe it! He's 3 months old now, and 16 lbs. He's super chunky and that's just how we like 'em around here! I don't want to miss a thing, so I am taking our days one at a time and trying to cherish each snuggly baby moment.

I know I've been MIA on the blog lately because of all of the things that come with a move, but I hope you all have had as lovely of a July as I have! It's been bittersweet and I'm learning a lot about myself through all of the change.

4th of July || Free Printables

I know this is after the fact, but I made these printables before life got new house crazy. I love this country so much and I thought I'd share them with you anyway. I'm only like a week late, right? You could still enjoy a whole month with these in your home, maybe even some year round patriotism? Ha!

Regardless, I was really touched by this quote I found by Joseph Campbell and want to remember it all year long. I'll be forever indebted to all of the heroes who make this country a free and better place. I'm extremely grateful to live in a place where I am free to speak, vote, work, and practice the religion of my choice. I live a very blessed and happy life because of those freedoms. I hope you all had a wonderful 4th with those that you love. You can find the download links below the images, as usual!

Life Lately || July

I know this is late, but I wanted to share it with you still because I've been absent from the blog for a while. July was such a fun filled month with holidays, family reunions, and lots of fun summer activities! Everything has been so exciting so I wanted to share a few things I've done!

Life Lately || July || A Dash of Salter

1. STYLING:

Up + up + up. Honestly, it's too hot to keep it down and, more honestly, I've been so lazy with it! There has been so much going on this summer!!

2. WEARING:

The comfiest and cutest jeans in the universe. Win, win.

3. EATING:

So much crap. Seriously though. Hot dogs, hamburgers, cake, soda, candy, cookies, and then that one time I actually made something kind of healthy and took a picture of it.

4. WATCHING:

POLDARK. Masterpiece Classic, I can't live without you.

5. LISTENING:

My whole life I've been convinced I didn't like country music, but I have recently started to realize that I've been in denial for a long time. When you listen to Taylor Swift radio and know the words to almost every other country song that plays, it's time to accept you like country music. Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flats, Carrie Underwood,  So here I am, admitting to myself that country music is pretty great.

6. EXPERIENCING:

GIRLS CAMP! I just arrived home Saturday and I can't stop thinking about how great it was to be able to go. It was such a privilege to go back to Lake Lyman as an adult leader. I loved going there as a young woman because it is breathtakingly beautiful up there. I had such a wonderful time growing closer to the other leaders and our amazing young woman. The most wonderful of all was the incredible spirit I felt and how my testimony was strengthened. I'm so grateful for the gospel and for the opportunity to experience such heart warming memories.

I so enjoyed last month and I can't believe we'e already started a new one! I have some pretty exciting things and collaborations planned in the near future. I can't wait to share them with you!!!

Lots of Love!!
