Top 10 Makeup Favorites

Surprisingly, I’ve NEVER done a makeup favorites roundup! I’ve had quite a few of you asking for all my go to makeup products, and here it is! For me makeup needs to be effortless and look likewise. Over the past year I’ve been REALLY HAPPY with my makeup routine! It’s simple, convenient, and makes me feel like my best self! Here are the top 10 products I now can’t live without!

1. Maskcara Beauty IIID Foundation

I’ve been using this makeup for 3 years now, and I’m more obsessed with it than ever! It’s one of the reasons I signed up to be an artist, but let me tell you WHY I love it so much. From the first time I saw Cara, the creator, doing before and afters of this product I knew it was something I had to try. It just brought out this natural beauty and light in everyone she put it on!!

I convinced my husband to buy it for me the Christmas of 2015. I had been sick for months with the pregnancy of our second son to the point where I had lost myself. To finally feel okay enough to put makeup on and take that time for myself sparked a renewed sense of energy and confidence in me. It was exactly what I needed! To feel beautiful in my own skin. It actually inspired me to start blogging again, and I did this review on her product. The product and my skills have come a LONG way since then, but you can still see the confidence it gave me!!!

Now I get to share that same feeling with other women. I get to watch them light up as they see themselves shining through in that after photo. They realize their own beauty! Because it just enhances your natural features, it’s like you know you’re even more beautiful when you take it off. It’s fast, easy and convenient for everyday use - for a stay at home mom like me and so many other women who live full and bold lives! I’ve never loved my makeup routine more than I do right now!! (View my old routine vs new routine here) If you’re looking to change your foundation, you can learn your color match here and get your own customized palette!

2. e.l.f. Brow Pencil

This pencil is the perfect color (Neutral Brown) and makes brows a cinch! I don’t have to dip into a product over and over again, I just twist up and flick on those brows until I’ve achieved the look I want! For $2 per pencil, it really can’t be beat. I am in the market for a brow pen, but I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t dry out quickly.

3. Loreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara

This is the ONLY mascara that has kept my lashes curled all day! It doesn’t smudge onto my cream makeup and I don’t get crumbled maskcara all over my face throughout the day. I’m obsessed with the volume and length they gave without looking to chunky or unnatural. I don’t know if I’ll ever use another mascara again.

4. Physician’s Formula CC Cream

This is the CC Cream I used before I started using mascara and while the tones don’t always match the current color of my skin, I still love it for a minimal makeup day! It has 30 SPF so I can just apply to my face, add a pop of blush and mascara and I’m good to go! I use it mostly for days I’ll be swimming or out in the sun for a long period of time. On a day to day basis I still use my IIID Foundation, but this is something I truly love having in my arsenal.

5. Maskcara Beauty Stay Setting Spray

I was SO skeptical of setting sprays before I tried the Stay Spray by Maskcara Beauty. It’s so refreshing and smells like coconuts, but most importantly it really does help my makeup last all day long! I love the way it helps the makeup set into my skin and keeps that dewy glow that I live for! Definitely can’t live without it now.

6. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Okay, this isn’t necessarily makeup but it’s been the BIGGEST game changer for my lips! I used to hate wearing lip color because everything would crack and collect on my chronically dry lips. Thanks to this beautiful product, my lips have never been more soft, smooth and lucious! I am OBSESSED.

7. Maybelline Matte Ink

I was not a fan when I bought my first color, but after trying several others it really is the best longwear matte lipstick you can get for the price! It really does wear all day! It doesn’t burn or tingle and glides on really smooth. I think the deeper colors are my favorite so far.

8. Maskcara Beauty Makeup Brushes

Once again, I’d never really used high quality makeup brushes to apply my makeup until I started using Maskcara and ever since then I’ve been hooked. They are the highest quality, softest, most beautiful brushes I’ve ever used. It makes me cringe a little that I used to use my hands and those cheap tiny brushes that come with your drugstore makeup. No wonder I was never happy about my makeup routine! Quality really does make a difference, and these brushes are going to last me a lifetime!

9. Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer

This is a fairly new adventure, but I finally did some research on how to make my eyeshadow stay on all day and I found raving reviews on this one by wet n wild. It’s only $5 and so I had to give it a try. It’s been amazing! I can’t believe how big of a difference it really makes to have an eyeshadow primer!! If you’re looking for one, definitely give this one a try.

10. Maskcara Beauty eyeshadows

Of course I had to couple the primer with the Maskcara eyeshadows. Can you tell I’m a totally Maskcara brand junkie? Hahaha! These eyeshadows are so creamy, buildable, and each tin has SO MUCH PRODUCT! I love mixing and matching all of the colors we have available, and the great news is we’re getting a LOT of new ones super soon! Quality eyeshadows can really take a makeup look to the next level and I’m so excited to get my hands on all the new ones!

That’s a wrap, folks!! What are your tried and true makeup faves? Leave them in the comments and I’d love to try them! I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Favorite General Conference Quotes | October 2017 | Free Printables

It's that time of year again, where I get to ponder and reread the words shared by the prophets. Though I do not get a lot out of listening to the live addresses, two toddlers...you know what I mean? I thoroughly enjoy listening in the weeks following while I read, underline and highlight the revelation given by inspired women and priesthood leaders of the LDS church. April of last year was the first year I decided to create and offer my free general conference printables! That was how my blog really started to take off! I have loved getting messages from you about how you are utilizing my printables to share with those around you!! It's wonderful how faith can bring us together from all places around the world.

I made a little more than usual this year, but there are too many good ones!!! Plus, I had wayyyy too much fun with the Adobe Sketch app to make these watercolor effects. Creativity has always been such a good way for me to express my faith. Writing and artistic design have helped me stay in touch with my personal spirituality through out the years, and I believe that's because my creative mind is one of my God given gifts. It allows me to slow down and appreciate the beauty in the world around me. I can't always speak the way I feel, but I can through artful expression.

I create for myself. It helps me share my faith and testimony, and I pray that it can uplift someone along the way.

Going into conference weekend, I always try to have questions in my mind that I can receive revelation for. I've yet to come away with them unanswered, whether by the words of the prophets or whisperings of the spirit. The biggest take away for me this conference was how my unique and divine nature is important in my Heavenly Father's eternal plan. And that His plan is better than my own. Sometimes I get so caught up in the things I want to accomplish or overcome, that I forget to ask what His plan is for me. If there is one thing I've learned in my life thus far, it's that His plan is ALWAYS BETTER than the one I have for myself.

I know that I am His daughter and that He has a plan for me. Never forget you are a child of God, and He has a plan for you. Listen/watch/read the Prophet's addresses at LDS.org or for more information on what I believe go to Mormon.org

I love you all, and I'm so grateful for the tribe I've found through my blogging journey.  I hope you're having a wonderful week!

Favorite General Conference Quotes | April 2017 - FREE PRINTABLES

Finally getting around to sharing all of my FAVORITE #LDSconf quotes!

General Conference is always such an anticipated time for me. Listening to the prophets and apostles speak is both inspiring and uplifting. I like to prepare myself by thinking of a question or things that are currently happening in my life that are stressing me out. So of course this time around I had our real estate adventure on the brain! Throughout all of the sessions, I felt so touched by everything I heard. The spirit is so incredible! It can tell each of us something completely unique while we're listening to the same words. I'm so grateful for that! I definitely received the inspiration that I needed.

You can watch or read any session of LDS conference on LDS.org

I hope you enjoy these printables of my favorite quotes from conference! What were your favorites? Make sure to comment them at the bottom of this post! Love you guys!

Friday Favorites!

This last month I started using some game changing products, and the list of favorites was getting so long I felt the need to share it with all of you! All of the product images below are linked to where you can purchase them. So let's jump right into it, shall we?

Mē Smooth Hair Reduction Device

I have wanted to get laser hair removal for a while now. Well, did you know you could do it yourself at home? Matthew got me this device for Christmas, you may have heard me talking about it on my Insta story, and I was SUPER skeptical that it could actually get the job done. I started on/am currently treating my underarms and bikini area. I'm over half way done with the treatments and I can totally notice a difference! Especially on my bikini area. TMI, but I have thick hair and I was getting so many painful ingrown hairs it was ridiculous. This is CHANGING MY LIFE. I can't wait to give a full review after I'm done with all of the treatments. If you want to laser the private parts of your body for a fraction of the cost. This is the way to do it.

Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant

I have good friends who recommend the best products and this one as well as the next one were recommended by my BFF, Kelsie. You guys, the ingrown/thick hair problem also applies to my underarms which I feel like makes them very easily irritated. Off and on since I can remember I've had reactions to deodorant. I never really switched brands because it only happened every once in a while. Well, after having rashes for a little over a month I stopped using my deodorant and switched to my husbands. That's when Kelsie recommend this dry spray deodorant. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and I'm OBSESSED. It feels like I'm spraying air on my pits because this stuff drys instantly. It smells great and lasts up to 48 hours! Go get some for yourself. Right now.

Soap Brows

Kelsie also opened my eyes to the magic that is Soap Brows. I mean, just look at her brows first. Then, go watch this video to see it in action! Isn't that incredible??? I have sparseness just like her and it does wonders for me! I've been using a pink soap, and so I can only imagine what it's going to look like when I get some clear soap

Little Remedies Saline Drops

If you have been following my Instagram saga, then you already know we've been hit with a constant wave of illness in our home. Specifically sinuses and colds. These drops have done wonders for clearing out that stubborn mucus in  my little ones nostrils. They hate getting the drops, but it has made the biggest difference in getting them back to their healthy, happy selves!

Lemi-Shine

Okay, so a couple months ago our dishes started looking a little foggy. I looked up a DIY rinse aid on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try. Well, something went horribly wrong and for a whole month we had this nasty white film on everything. Even the dishwasher. I felt awful and tried everything I could to flush the system. It was looking better but still had a foggy look to it. That's when I saw this product on my friend Kalie's favorites list on Instagram, and I HAD to give it a try. After the first wash, the dishwasher looked brand new!!! I couldn't believe it! Our dishes have never looked this clean. EVER. Matthew is obsessed with how clean our glassware is. SO worth the investment for us.

Moana Soundtrack

I know, totally cliche, but I don't even care. Turner and I are OBSESSED with this movie and all of it's music. The soundtrack has been on repeat every time we get in the car, or if there's a lull in our day. It's the perfect pick me up! You're welcome. ;)

That's it for today! If you try them out, let me know what you think! What products are your tried and true favorites right now? Leave a comment with them below! Thanks for reading, loves!

Favorite General Conference Quotes || October 2016 FREE PRINTABLES

I'm finally back to share my favorite general conference quotes from the October General Conference! I really struggled to narrow it down, so I'm sharing more than I did last time! I find so much joy in reflecting on the words of conference while creating these printables. I've also been touched by the many people who have reached out to me in gratitude for the printables I made after the last general conference in April.

It's amazing how even a little thing like this can be an influence for good. I love that the gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of sharing goodness. To love and uplift everyone we come in contact with. To be a light and an influence for the good that is in this world.

Today I had the opportunity to sing at a sacrament meeting held in a independent living retirement home, and it was such a special experience. To see in their eyes that the gospel is true in every stage of life. The peace I felt among them is indescribable. Their smiling faces looking at me as I sang about our loving Savior touched my spirit so deeply. I often feel that my talents are insignificant, but moments like that help me realize what a blessing those talents truly are. Especially in my own spiritual progression.

It's so easy to the talents of others and compare ourselves to them. I'm challenging myself, and all of you, to pray for the realization of your own talents. I pray that I'll have more opportunities to use my talents for the benefit of all, that I can be an influence for good. I hope we can all do the same. To lift instead of criticize. To love instead of judge. Just as He did.
