This blog got a remodel a couple weeks ago, but I am just getting to post about it due to the busyness and excitement of the holidays. Or at least that's my excuse.
If you know me personally, than you know I like to switch things up, a lot. Well, the blog is not any different. This change was actually inspired by an outfit I put together one day because I was behind on laundry. A peach shirt and olive skinnies. I loved the combo so much it had me thinking about rebranding my blog. There have been several changes I've been wanting to make for a while now, but this time I finally pulled the trigger.
My main logo got an even more minimal face lift, and the home page got a makeover as well. I've been wanting to add excerpts for some time now and love that this new template gives that option. Squarespace makes it so easy to completely customize your website. It's definitely been worth the investment for me, because I love designing and creating. Being able to design my own website puts a little more of my heart into this small corner of the internet that I occasionally document our life in.
I'm trying to write down things that I want to blog about. Especially when it comes to my family. There are a few experiences I've had this week that I want to document on here. The kind of moments a mother always wants to remember. I've come to realize how much more I enjoy a moment when I'm not distracted. When my devices are down, to do lists are set aside and I'm ALL in. Lately I've been trying to be more present. And I'm so proud that I'm doing better at it.
I want to focus more on the things that matter. I want to document more of that meaningful stuff here, along with all of the fluffy fun stuff that I'm passionate about. If you read my blog, I want you to know that I appreciate you. I hope you feel something when you visit my site. That it makes you smile. That you feel uplifted. Or maybe just realize you're not alone in the struggles you face. I document these things as a journal of my life, but I share them because I believe that sharing experiences can touch others who may be in similar circumstances.
Thank you for being a part of that.
